Example 1: Comparing the one full winter season consumption of energy/money between a typical electric heater (2.5kW) and a Wingo table (0.25kW) in an average restaurant in Germany, one would get the following differences in the final electricity bill by the end of the six-months season: €2,019.40 (el. heater) vs. €201.94 (Wingo), which is the difference of €1,817.46 per one appliance per season.

Example 2: Suppose the same restaurant has an area capacity of 20 tables and it needs to choose between heating them with 10 electrical heaters of 3.0 kW power or 20 Wingo tables of 0.25 kW power each. The electricity bill by the end of the six-month season would be: €24,232.82 (el. heater) vs. €4,038.80 (Wingo), which is a difference of €20,194.02 per season.

Science behind Wingo

We have tested Wingo in different weather conditions (including snow, rain, high wind, and temperatures from -10°C to 15°C) and geographical locations (five locations in central Europe) for six months in 2021/2022. Results consistently showed an average result of energy consumption of 0.25kW per hour per table. Compared to the average electrical heater that uses 2.5-3.0kW per hour, these results indicate that Wingo saves up to 10 times more energy than electrical heaters.

The reason for such a high energy efficiency lies in the unique Wingo design that combines knowledge from heat transfer with knowledge of human physiology, and the science of comfort. Wingo table conducts heat directly into the feet, thus ensuring direct energy transfer without dissipation. The effect of the circulation additionally contributes to the general feel of warmth produced by the Wingo table. Thanks to the energy-efficient design and innovative heating system, the Wingo table, as we have seen, saves up to 10x more energy than existing electric heaters and therefore significantly reduces electricity costs. Compared to gas heaters, the Wingo table does not directly create any CO2, which makes it a great alternative to gas heaters as a healthier solution for users and the environment.

The very important characteristic of Wingo table design is safety. Other heating solutions have direct contact of heating elements with the environment, which sometimes lead to dangerous situations, such as fire or burns. Wingo is a closed system (with IP55) in the sense that the heating element does not have direct contact with the environment, while a smart thermostat ensures the maximum temperature of the outside surface within the margin of the safe range, thus preventing the possibility of fire or burns.
